Membership Types

Workplace Savings NZ has three types of membership - Organisation, Individual and Workplace Savings Professional.  The following information will help you decide which type of membership is appropriate for you, your organisation, or scheme.

 Organisation Member

This membership is for Employer Participants, Promoters, Trustees and Managers of Superannuation Funds (each in that capacity), as well as other service providers to Superannuation Funds, and other companies or bodies interested in matters affecting savings arrangements made available through the workplace, or in financial literacy in the workplace.

Workplace Savings NZ has three categories of organisation membership, to help better segment our constituents.  They are:

  • Workplace Savings Scheme - a Stand-Alone, MasterTrust or KiwiSaver scheme
  • Employer - offering a workplace savings scheme (can be a stand-alone, MasterTrust arrangement or KiwiSaver scheme)
  • Service Provider - company/organisation that offers professional services to the workplace savings industry.

An organisation membership is great value as it covers all employed staff by the Scheme, Employer or Service Provider.  No need to renew individual subscriptions within the organisation, or specify who is eligible to receive membership benefits.

 Individual Member

This category of membership is for individuals interested in matters affecting savings arrangements made available through the workplace, or in financial literacy in the workplace.  Membership is held in the name of the individual concerned.  Individual members enjoy the same valuable membership benefits as Organisation members.
