Disclosure regime for investment products

Bell Gully, Lvl 21, HP Tower, 171 Featherston St, Wellington - 1 March 2011

As part of Securities Law reform, Investment Statements and Prospectuses are likely to be replaced with Product Disclosure Statements (‘PDS') and a Securities Register.

The Ministry of Economic Development has provided a broad outline for a PDS in its 2010 Discussion Paper, but the detail is yet to be developed.

To facilitate discussion and debate, NZ Guardian Trust and Bell Gully have drafted a possible form of PDS for a retail KiwiSaver Scheme.  They hope that this will contribute to the development of a great disclosure regime for New Zealand.

You are invited to a free seminar in Wellington where NZ Guardian Trust and Bell Gully will present their draft Product Disclosure Statement to interested parties.  The presentation will be followed by drinks & canapés.
